Edward H. Carpenter, Cambridge resident

Edward H. "Ted" Carpenter died Dec. 4, 2006. He was 61.

Mr. Carpenter was a resident of Cambridge, formerly of Scituate.

He was the former husband of 30 years to Shirley (Kimball); father of Shey O’Grady of Hanover, Ramon Carpenter of Boston, Tara Russell of Cambridge, Anne Ritchie Gilligan of Scituate, and Todd Carpenter of Cambridge; brother of Bill of Ithaca, N.Y., twin, Tom, of Connecticut, and Nancy Carpenter of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia; son of Frances Carpenter and the late Raymond of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia; and grandfather of Sam and Analesa O’Grady, Ben Carpenter and Nolan Gilligan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering was held Dec. 8 at the Harvard Faculty Club in Cambridge. Arrangements were made by the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home in Scituate.
