1. Transmitting communication from Robert W. Healy, City Manager, relative to Awaiting Report Item Number 06-83, regarding a report on plans to ensure a safe summer without an increase in crime and violence.
2. Transmitting communication from Robert W. Healy, City Manager, relative to Awaiting Report Item Number 06-97, regarding on considering a similar crime alert system as to mirror the one Boston is launching.
3. Transmitting Cambridge Police Crime Unit Analysis Report.

5:30pm The Transportation, Traffic and Parking Committee will conduct a public meeting to discuss the City's curb cut policies and whether any changes should be made, discussion to include abutter notification, timing of related building permits, criteria for requiring related traffic studies, effect of change of building use on existing curb cuts and any other issues pertaining to curb cut policies and practices.

ORDERED: That the task force include members from, but not limited to:
Police and Crime Prevention Organizations;
Business Community;
Churches and community-based organizations;
Cambridge Health Alliance;
School Department;
Youth;
Court Representatives; and
Educational Institutions.
and be it further
ORDERED: That the goals for the task force include:
Analysis of causes and effects of violent crimes in Cambridge;
Plan for peaceful summers including proposing park and youth center activities and police coverage for next summer;
Address issues of jobless young people in their twenties;
Analyze the impact of CORI law and regulations;
Improve police and community relations and communications;
Analysis of impact of older young people in our community on young teens.
