Healy, City Manager, relative to an appropriation of a FY05 Fair Housing Assistance Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for $35,700 to the Grant Fund Human Rights Salary and Wages Account ($33,200), and Grant Fund Human Rights Travel and Training Account ($2,500) to be used to cover a portion of the salary of an Attorney-Investigator, who works on cases from the Fair Housing Assistance Program (FHAP).

UNFINISHED BUSINESS
1. A communication was received from D. Margaret Drury, City Clerk, transmitting a report from Councillor Timothy J. Toomey, Jr., Co-Chair of the Ordinance Committee, for a meeting held on Nov 18, 2004 for the purpose of considering proposed amendments to Chapter 2.74 of the Cambridge Municipal Code, the Police Review and Advisory Board Ordinance. The question comes on passing to be ordained on or after Feb 14, 2005. [Four sections of the proposed amendment were passed to be ordained as amended. Ordinance #1284. The remaining proposed amendments to chapter 2.74 remain on unfinished business.]

2. A communication was received from D. Margaret Drury, City Clerk, transmitting a report from Councillor Kenneth E. Reeves and Councillor Timothy J. Toomey, Jr., Co-Chairs of the Ordinance Committee, for a meeting held on Nov 22, 2005 for the purpose of considering a re-filed petition by the Planning Board to amend the zoning in the Concord/Alewife area. The question comes on passing to be ordained on or after Jan 2, 2006. Petition expires Feb 20, 2006.

Approval has been received from the neighborhood association.

6. An application was received from Jonathan Leavitt, requesting a curb cut at the premises numbered 110 Second Street; said petition has received approval from Inspectional Services, Traffic, Parking and Transportation, Historical, Public Works. Approval has been received from the neighborhood association.

7. A petition was received from NABS (Neighbors and Abutters of Blessed Sacrament) requesting amendments to the Cambridge Zoning Ordinance to Sections 5.28 Special Dimensional Standards Applicable to Dwellings, Article 5.28.27 Criteria for Approval of a Special Permit and Article 6.12(d) in the area of Erie, Corporal McTernan, Pearl and Magazine Streets .

8. An application was received from Cambridge Bicycle, requesting permission for one awning and one sign at the premises numbered 259 Massachusetts Avenue. Approval has been received from Inspectional Services, Department of Public Works, Community Development Department and abutters.

9. An application was received from Chicago Pizza, requesting permission for two awnings and one sign at the premises numbered 239 Massachusetts Avenue. Approval has been received from Inspectional Services, Department of Public Works, Community Development Department and abutters.
